The elements of web marketing is very important if you are serious about making money with your website. So what are the elements of web marketing?
The first element of successful web marketing is:
Focus on your prospect.
I've seen so many websites that talk about themselves. How many times have you been to a website and all you see is buttons and banners that is about the company and it doesn't give you a good reason why you are there. For example, a website that always talk about themselves; such as: our company, about us, our products, our services, our contact info, ect... Do you see my point. but where is your prospect in this picture.
Here's a solution. What you should really put in your website is:
- A Frequently Asked Questions page. (it is a way for you to listen and talk back to your customers. This will save your business a lot of time.)
- A customer might concern that since your company is distant from him, how will your company be responsive for him. How will the communication take place.
The second element of successful web marketing is:
Offer valuable content.
The biggest problem many websites encounter is that they got carried away with the fascination of web graphics. Therefore, they invested their money and time on designing the best looking web pages. What you should do is to lay off with the graphics and spend more time working on the content. Take a look at Yahoo for instance. If you notice, Yahoo's has more text than graphics. As a matter of fact they have about 1% of graphic on each of their page. My point is that you must provide your prospect as much information as you can rather than try to grab their attention with flashy graphics.
The third element of successful web marketing is:
Educate your prospect.
Before you attempt to sell anything to your prospect. You must educate your prospect. Here's how you can educate your prospect. First thing first, present to them facts and research with relating information about the product you are going to sell. But do not approach to them with a sales with after you present to them a problem. And then show them how they can resolve it with your product. You really must think out side of the box.
To be a successful at Web Marketing you really need to plan your work, and then work at your plan. Focus on your customers, offer valuable content on your website that will educate them first before you can approach to them with any sales pitch.
