Guerrilla Psychology: Introduction

Today I am starting a lengthy series on the use of psychology in guerriilla marketing. Those of you who were subscribers to the now defunct Web Guerrilla Journal will recognize some of the articles.
I did a somewhat disorganized series on psychology in the The Web Guerrilla Journal last year. I am in the process of reworking those articles and adding articles to that series. I am also reorganizing the order so that things make more sense.
As I say on the 3R home page, I both preach and teach guerrilla marketing. There has been a fair amount of preaching by me here in the Daily lately. Well, I'm going to step away from the pulpit for awhile and move over to the lectern and teach.
I was a college instructor for a couple of years and it will show in this series. I am not going to insult your intelligence and write these articles as if I were writing for a bunch of sixth graders. These articles are written at the freshman college level.
Writing at the freshman level will allow me to present some sophisticated ideas that are necessary to truly understand how psychology works in marketing and how to make psychology work in your marketing. I felt this level was a good compromise so as to reach, hopefully, all of you.
Some may find these articles a little difficult. Some may find them too simple. If you have any questions or problems with any of this material, do feel free to email me.
Too often many writers online, especially the "gurus," write as if their readers were not very bright. I am assuming that you all are reasonably intelligent. After all, you subscribed to the Daily. To me that shows a fair level of intelligence (Just joking! Well, sort of)
I am assuming that you all have the same lack of exposure to social and psychology theory that most freshman have. Therefore I will be providing what at times may seem irrelevant background information. Please be assured that this information is necessary to understand future points.
