Show confidence to gain confidence

In the fast paced world of Internet business, there are literally thousands of people vying for the same customers. Much has been written on how to outshine your competition so that you can gain these customers' business. We all know the basic strategies: offering incentives, writing that "perfect" classified ad, and even using the "right" font to attract customers!
These strategies, while important, overlook one the most important ways to look good to your customers: BELIEVE IN YOUR PRODUCT AND LET YOUR CUSTOMERS KNOW IT. That's right -- your basic attitude can be the factor that distinguishes you from the rest of the pack. The best way to get your customers to have confidence in your business is to show that you have confidence in it yourself.
Ok -- maybe you have all the confidence in the world for your product or service, but this won't matter unless you can SHOW that confidence to your clients. Fortunately, there are several easy ways to express your beliefs to your audience:
* Show your excitement -- It has been shown that people will be more likely to believe someone who seems excited and enthusiastic about an issue than someone who seems aloof and detached. Remember that you can show your excitement about your offer to customers and still maintain an air of professionalism. The basic idea is: If YOU aren't excited about this prospect, why should THEY be?
* Let your audience know why you care -- Audiences will trust a "real" person more than they will some corporate persona. Let your confidence personalize your message. WHY do YOU believe in the offer? If the product you are offering has improved your life, don't be afraid to share your story. It will make you more real to the audience and build confidence in them as well.
* Offer a Guarantee -- Nothing will show your confidence in your product or service more than to bet your own money on it. By making a guarantee claim, you are saying that you are SO sure of your product that you are willing to take a loss if someone else doesn't feel the same way. As long as your offer is sincere, this can be a GREAT confidence-builder!
Success is not just based on business savvy, cash flow, and marketing -- ATTITUDE is another important ingredient. Let your customers see how and why you believe in your offer, and, in most cases, that confidence will become theirs as well,
