Getting Rich Rapidly vs. Getting Rich Slowly on the Web

The Purpose of this article is to compare and contrast two main approaches used by Network Marketers on the World Wide Web. The first approach is "Getting Rich Rapidly", which has a formula something like this:
Massive Advertising targeted at Everyone = Massive Hits = Rejection + Massive Expenses which implies that you "Get Rich Rapidly"
The second approach is "Getting Rich Slowly" and the formula is something like this:
Short Frequent Messages to Prequalified, Interested People = Slow, but certain Response = Less Rejection + Small Expenses which implies that you "Get Rich Slowly"
Both these approaches claim to "Get You Rich", but the Rapid approach is becoming harder and harder, with too much competition. It worked well when the World Wide Web was novel and a mystery to the majority. Attitudes toward the Web are changing and so is the approach to Network Marketing Online.
To compare the two approaches, were going to look at some issues that all Network Marketers need to address. This might sound a bit depressing. But, fear not! Well also provide some solutions so you can see how the two approaches work.
ISSUE 1:
How do you get people to "Click on" your Business
Opportunity Website. How do you get them to read the information?
Getting Rich Rapidly approach:
Massive advertising to everyone possible. Do everything you can just to get people to your Website.
Getting Rich Slowly approach:
Frequent, informative, and short messages to numerous pre-qualified prospects (people whove asked for information). Build a rapport with these people over time. After a while they will get to know you.
ISSUE 2:
How do you change the Prospect to a person who is interested in Your Business?
Getting Rich Rapidly Approach:
Provide the prospect with LOTS of information on your Website. Offer him or her a free website for joining your business. Offer lots of other freebies and benefits, everything you can possibly give away. Have messages popping up everywhere.
Getting Rich Sowly Approach:
Build a relationship over time, by sending the prospect useful information that may assist him or her. Provide information about your business only WHEN he or she requests it. By sending useful information, you are building respect. People realize that you really can help them to build a business.
ISSUE 3:
How do you reduce the Rejected, Negative Feelings when 90-95% of your prospects say "no"?
Getting Rich Rapidly Approach:
Forget about those people and move on to more. Theres plenty more "fish in the sea".
Getting Rich Slowly Approach:
Have so many people receiving your messages that you hardly notice a request to "take me off your list". Besides, if you are providing useful information without "selling", then people are more likely to stay on your list.
When the times right for them and IF they are interested, they will inquire about your business. You wont feel rejected because you havent spent loads of time and money (phone bills) talking to them.
ISSUE 4:
How do you obtain enough money for Advertising and Phone Calls?
Getting Rich Rapidly Approach:
Sell your house, your car and anything you own. After all, youll be rich one day, so it doesnt matter. This is what one of my upline told me "I had to sell 2 holiday homes and 2 cars to pay for these Websites that you are now using".
Getting Rich Slowly Approach:
You wont need to make lots of phone calls. In fact, lots of people will call you first. You can receive free leads if you use the right kind of support services company. That is, one that guarantees pre-qualified leads every month and can also pay you a secondary income.
This way, youve cut down your advertising costs AND your phone bills. Then, you can spend your money on yourself.
So, theres the difference between the two approaches. The "Get Rich Rapidly" advocates encourage their downline to do everything possible to give Their Websites and Their company a name. You promote your uplines Websites through your advertising and campaign and with your money.
This is how it usually works:
Your upline provides Websites for you. You and everyone else advertises them (quite often using the same add). Everyone sends out the same email.
Excessive duplication becomes massive. Hundreds, even thousands of email and adds appear on the Net with similar wording.
The Websites are all mirror images of each other, except for the number on the end of the address, like this:
http://MyUplineWebsite.com/?123456 (this is a fake) Did you know that many of the Search Engines are now programmed to ignore the Websites with a ?. So, if you spend all that time submitting your site (with the ?), the search engine will actually find your uplines Website (same address, no ? every time).
The real owner of the first Website has complete control.
You cannot add, modify or delete anything.
You cannot monitor the Website to count visitors.
You cannot insert links or banners, offer specials or discounts.
However, you can create your own doorway pages to provide your own individuality.
Every day we receive email from strangers begging us to click on their link to a Website. Why should we click? Do we get a meaningful reason to click? Have we asked for this email? Are we even slightly interested, or is this just an intrusion?
The GREAT Side of the World Wide Web
Despite all the disadvantages, I still love discovering new Websites. They can be an excellent resource for information. However, they should be used in conjunction with email. Email has become very sophisticated, providing automation of mundane and repetitive tasks, and can complement your Website.
Autoresponders (automated email) allow people to send numerous messages to thousands of people with only a few keystrokes or mouse clicks. You can follow up for as long as the prospect allows you to.
Autoresponders assist you to build a relationship with your prospects over a long period of time, without pushing or selling to them. They get to know and trust you. You might have some people in your auto-responder list for a year before they are ready to become your partner.
The Get Rich Slowly approach utilizes Websites too, but only when the prospect is serious, not just curious. The prospect is more likely to read the material on your Website once youve built a rapport with him or her over time.
