If you decide to write your own you will need a spiral notebook or a 3 ring binder. On the first page I suggest you write...TIME AND PATIENCE AND PERSEVERANCE! Time is to remind you that Rome wasn't built in a day and if you had an offline business it would take more than 3-6 months to develop your business! Patience is to remind you to take a deep breath. not every thing will run smoothly and you need to be patient with others. Perseverance is to keep you from quitting! To succeed you must stick with it! Possibly a third word to write would be BALANCE...to remind you to spend time with your family and friends. all work and no play is not going to get you to your destination any faster..;)

The second page is your Mission Statement. What exactly is your mission? What do you ultimately want to do? Quit your day job? Work full-time from home? Buy a new home? Send your children to college? Whatever your ultimate mission is...write it down. Once you *see* it in writing somehow it becomes more real.

Next page. your schedule. To begin with for several days write down everything you do. from the time you get up in the morning to the time you go to bed. You'll see your routine. your habits. Now write out a schedule you would like to see yourself doing. Remember to include your online and offline commitments first, then fill in what you would like to change and give time for breaks for yourself and time with family and friends. Read your schedule daily and make room for adjustments and emergencies but stick with it! Soon your new schedule will be *routine* and you will see good results!

The purpose of this is to see in writing where you are and where you want to be, and the steps you need to take to get there.

Next page..long term and short term goals. Long term goals are like mini-missions, short term goals are steps you will take to get there. Plan to recruit one person a week into your business and take the necessary steps to get there. Plan to start an ezine in 6 months and take the necessary steps to get there.

Again, once you see your destination in writing and what you need to do to get there it takes on a life of its own...and you will SUCCEED!

Next you will need to write out your budget. This is your business budget and it is very important to stick with it! Every business has one..you need to decide what you can afford to put into your business. "Needs" are first on the list. The cost of your ISP, website hosting, advertising, etc. "wants" have to be budgeted too or you will find yourself doing some "impulse" buying and that is not a good thing..;(

Marketing is next on the list.Marketing Plans..This is a little more technical and more of the "meat and potatoes" of your business. Online competition is fierce. You must keep up with what "the other guy" is doing.

A good strategy campaign is to go to search engines and type in your keywords that you have on your website. See your competition? Visit the top 5-10 sites. Look at their pages, loading time, and offers. Look at their content, do they offer an ezine? Do you? How does their site compare to yours?

Linking to sites. Find sites to link to. How does your site rate? Go to http://www.google.com and type in your name or your sites name. See who is linking to you!

Tracking your progress is also a part of Marketing. Keep a schedule of where you are in your business today and chart your progress. It is important to see where you are and where your business is going.

Advertising Campaigns are deciding and writing down where you advertise. Tracking your ads and writing effective ads.

The very first thing you must do is to choose an opportunity that you believe in. One that would benefit you and your family even if you didn't get paid to use it!

Make a list of all the places you want to advertise both free and cost. Then make a schedule of advertising. Do you have time to advertise in 5 places, 10-20 or more? Look at your budget and implement a schedule accordingly.

Now you have a great foundation for your online business. You have a business plan, marketing plan, advertising plan. This is your foundation.
