How a Winner Gets Their Downline Filled

Bosco versus Fang
You know the difference. Fang, comedian Phyllis Dillers mythical hubby, who would do as little as possible for himself. He goes along with the crowd and never, never
wants to improve his lot in life.
Bosco on the other hand was once like Fang. But he has decided to pull himself up and get involved in a home-based business. His boss at work Mr. Crabapple is getting crabbier by the day. Boscos mother-in-law treats him better!
So he decided to get involved in network marketing. Sure he has to learn new skills, stretching himself as a person and business owner. But he figures in a years time he will be a lot better off financially and his downline will be deep.
So Fang challenged Bosco one day, "Home-based business, schmidness, youre only fooling yourself. Youre never going to be a success in this stuff!"
Bosco thought that Fang was all wet. Yes, he was still working at his job. But he knew that the money would show up. He just needed to listen to the folks who brought him
into his network marketing business.
If he listened and applied himself, he could work at home and leave old Crabapple in the dust. He would replace his income at work and spend more time with his family. And the people he brought into his business would be teachable if he chose them carefully.
Interview with a Winner
So Bosco said to Fang, "O.k., buddy boy, lets go over to my leaders home, and interview him about all this stuff."
The scene shifts to the home of Boscos business partner like an old movie, you know, the screen gets all fuzzy and harp music plays. (I know, this all sounds melodramatic,
but it worked in the movies didnt it?) So the interview is on!
Bosco: "Fang here thinks Im nuts for following you into our network marketing business. Set him straight."
Leader: "Well, you need to be a "winner", not a "whiner". If your attitude is stinky, no one will want to join you."
Fang: "But Bosco doesnt have 100 folks in his downline after 3 months!"
Leader: "Yes, thats true. But he has been steadily learning and contacting folks. Bosco has had to learn phone skills, too. That takes time to get comfortable at, if youve never done it before.
Fang: "But I know Bosco has low self-esteem, and if a few people get testy with him on the phone he will give up in discouragment."
Leader: "First of all, he has good leads. He has found them to be of good quality. And Bosco has learned the mechanics quickly. But prospecting by phone is mostly how you think about yourself."
"You really need to believe in yourself and think that you can do anything you put your mind to. Determination goes a long way."
Fang: "At this rate, Bosco will still be at his job in 3 more months."
Leader: "Patience needs to be exercised. If he steadily keeps at it, hell have a deep downline with an income month after month."
Fang: "This is all hogwash. Its a rip-off!"
Leader and Bosco: "Its all in the outlook, winner!"
