Is This Your N.E.W.S.L.E.T.T.E.R?

Today's world is centered on news and information. The most effective way to reach prospects is with a newsletter. It not only saves you time and money, it is powerful in communicating to many people at once! But, there are some vital elements each of your issues should have in order to maintain your current subscribers while you add more to the list!

N= NAME: First, I want to know who you are. Tell me that right away so I won't waste my time trying to find out. Use a common thread in every contact to increase awareness.

E= EDUCATE: This is an information age. I want information that will BENEFIT me in my everyday life.

W= WHAT'S in it for me? This should be the focus of every article in your message. Spend little time boasting of your business accomplishments and more time showing me how I can gain from them.

S= SALES information. Yes, it's ok to pitch your products or services. Actually, it is expected of you. But do it without hype. Show me how you can solve a problem I have.

L= LEARN about your subscribers. Make this a relationship building tool by providing human interest stories, current events, etc. Create a friendly atmosphere.

E= EXAMPLES are ways for you to present products and services. Show how your offerings can be used, how they compete with others on the market. Point out prices and your guarantee.

T= TELL me, don't sell me!

T= TESTIMONIES work more effectively that any sales presentation you can give! Ask your readers for feedback in a special feature section just for them! Add a plug for their business if appropriate.

E= ENTERTAIN me! Today's consumers love a little humor to divert their thoughts from everyday stress, if only for a moment! Create a joke or humorous story section in your publication.

R= REFERRALS are the cheapest, most dynamic advertising on this planet. Ask for them and reward those who give them.

Follow these guidelines for your newsletter and watch your subscriptions grow (and your sales with it!)
