You deserve a check today

We all LOVE the feeling of getting a check for our affiliate work. We all HATE the feeling of disappointment when the check is late or doesn't arrive at all.

How do we make SURE that we are paid, and paid on time? Here are four things to look for.

KNOW WHEN TO EXPECT PAYMENTS
Read the fine print! KNOW when to expect payment. Also, know the date to write and call if your payment has not arrived. Keep a calendar with due dates marked by program name. That way you know at a glance where you stand.

WHAT'S THE COOKIE POLICY
This seems to be changing about every 5 minutes, so be sure you are up to date on the cookie policy of your program. You KNOW he value of a more durable cookie. so pay close attention to this one.

LIFETIME COMMISSIONS & EXCLUSIVITY
Lifetime on the Net means what? As long as the company is in business, and your link is sending buyers, you are paid. Exclusivity means that to sell my widget, you cannot sell other widgets. But OFFLINE, over 30% of new businesses fail. Online, it's higher than that. Lifetime commissions are cool, but don't give up too much or this promise. Be VERY careful about exclusives.

You work very hard to participate in the affiliate programs that you believe will do the best for you. DON'T let sloppy bookkeeping or bad policies rob you. You deserve payment as agreed. If your program fails you here, then there may be reason to question their other claims as well.
