Now that those in-your-face popup ads are under the gun. Several major ISPs (Internet Service Providers) are banning them and many web surfers are using software to block them.
Popup windows when used in a practical and non-intrusive manner can still be an effective promotion tool.
Below is a JavaScript that webmasters can use to produce manual pop-up windows.
If you are reading this in html open it in your browser and follow the instructions.
Put this script in the head of your main html:
Example:
By changing the values above: your pop-up windows can be resizeable "Yes or No" have scrollbars "Yes or No" you can also change the "Width and Height" by changing the numbers.
Put the below line where ever you wish on the page: Change the file name to the htm you want to open in the popup window:
Click Here
Your pop-up window will not open until visitors click on "Click Here" or what ever you want it to read.
Put the below script anywhere you wish in your popup htm file so that visitors can have the option to close the window:
