Change is beautiful, scary and oh so necessary!

On my travels this past week - I drove through some of the most beautiful colors I have ever seen - trees bright red, bright yellow, brown, every color imaginable adorning the mountains.
It's time for change - as I looked at all this change I thought about our lives - we must face change in order to grow.
Don't we wish our lives could be so simple - live with what you have for a season then it all drops off and new growth comes on. It's a good thing the trees know to drop their leaves or there would never be any growth.
Is this what we do to stiffle growth in our own lives? Do we hang on to what we have when it is time to let it go? Do we keep the old because we do not know the future?
The trees don't know the future either, but they drop those leaves. Change is usually good, it unvails new growth, new relationships, new business adventures, new chances, and yes - new mistakes.
Without our mistakes we would not grow. Sometimes we take one step forward and two back, but at least we take that one step forward.
If your life is stagnated and you are spinning your wheels because you are afraid of change - then it is time to take that chance. Reach for something you want very much. The birds of the air are a good example - God provides for them, but they must reach for it, God does not cram the worms down their throat - they would starve if they did not reach.
Life is the same way - we will starve - either nutritionally or emotionally if we don't reach and reach and reach.
Today - determine what it is you want and take that one step forward to obtain it. If you pass up that chance to take that step - it may not present itself again.
Change is beautiful. Change is refreshing. Change is necessary.
