Im NOT Comfortable!

If you think I am in my comfort zone writing this article, you are dead wrong.
The definition of *Cognitive Dissonance* according to
Webster's Ninth New Collegiate Dictionary is ... (1963): psychological conflict resulting from incongruous beliefs and attitudes held simultaneously.
What I really mean to impress upon are Changes in your life! Even though Change is constant, the majority of people hate it, fight it and simply refuse to leave what they know and love to be comfortable.
Here is your Vision, the way you would really like your life to be. Now, the other side, is the Reality, of how your life is in this very moment.
My way of understanding this is that the Difference between the Vision and the Reality, is called the Gap. Each and every day of your life, close the Gap, little by little.
Each Day!
Those little by littles are what Dreams are made of.
Also, it is very important to understand the definition that you use for success. Do you view your success as having a big house and two cars ... or, the fact that you are reaching out to become more with your life?
Don't pursue your goals and dreams! Surrender to them.
Instead of conforming, transform. Become all that you were created for in that unique, different and special way. The enemy of change is conformity.
Your Thought Process IS your Motivation. Take that motivation and make sure that everything you do in your life aligns around what is most important to you. Take every thought captive.
The following is what Brian Tracy wrote in his "The Psychology Of Achievement" as his Six Requirements for Success (in general, a well-rounded life which I understand to be in priority order):
1) Peace of Mind - Being completely at peace and harmony with myself.
2) High Levels of Health and Energy - To feel satisfied.
3) Loving Relationships - Hallmark of self-actualizing, fully-functional personality.
4) Financial Freedom - To enjoy life, I must not be pre-occupied with money.
5) Worthy Goals and Ideals - My meaning and purpose is greatest single drive.
6) Personal Fulfillment - Hallmark of the truly mature, fully functioning human being.
Tracy completes this work by defining "The Purpose of Life":
* To develop loving relationships.
* Love and accept ourselves unconditionally as valuable human beings.
* Become totally loving people.
* Practice giving our love away to others.
* It only grows by sharing.
* Great Lovers of history have made the biggest difference in life.
Starting today, work to ensure that your short and long-term goals actually agree with your Vision. Upon taking on the effort to "close the gap" between your vision and your reality, continual feedback is important.
Ruthless Compassion is a concept I once heard and it stuck. It basically means that you must do whatever it takes, or at least be "willing" to do whatever it takes to "close that gap."
Many times, this will force you to Confront and Face your Fear. Out of a genuine caring, to do what you believe is best for you, those you love, and others you have taken on to help in their growth journey, you do and say things that are a little risky and may inversely effect the relationship. Either they are with you or against you. It is not possible to have both and close YOUR gap as well.
Bury the past and begin to dig a whole new exciting way to live.
What is Great is that YOU get to choose what this whole new way of being is! AND you will FIND a whole new way to live along the path that you may not even known existed.
