How to speed up product knowledge training time

One question I am always asked during "Selling Supplies" Seminars is: "How much time does it usually take a new employee to learn about all the different copier, fax and printer supply products?"
In the past, the answer was three to six months, depending on the variety of supplies you sell. It is now much, much easier for a new employee to get the product knowledge they need, if you are using one of the systems described here.
Up until 1993, I sold supplies by telephone for eleven years. I know the time it takes to cross-reference supply products, having spent hundreds of hours looking through vendor catalogs and the Aspen Guide. All the while, wishing there were a faster way to find answers!
