Losing time means losing sales

"How many pages will I get from this cartridge?" and: "Will this Hewlett-Packard cartridge work on my Canon?"
These are some of the questions a supply specialist hears during the day. With all of the new machines and cartridges coming out each year, it’s no wonder some sales people spend more time researching products than selling supplies.

Chuck Adamson developed the ERL Imaging Product Locator 15 years ago "mainly so new employees can serve the customer with confidence the first day on the job." ERL has become a necessity for office product dealers in eleven countries
Herb Richter at SBM Business Equipment Center told us:
"The ERL Program covers more supply products than other systems and catalogs. We buy from a variety of different vendors and all of these vendors are listed in the ERL Program. The program requires very little training time. We have a retail store and there is a lot of employee turnover, so we can’t afford to spend time training people. The ERL program is user-friendly, quick and thorough."
ERL Program features include:
Data files listing more than 35,000 machine models, ink rolls, laser cartridges, toners, ribbons and inkjet cartridges.
PC-compatible
Approximately 400 new model numbers and supply part numbers are added each month.
Quarterly updates
Users can find a variety of new and older supplies in ERL.

"Not only can we cross-reference the newest laser and inkjet supplies, but we can also find older printer, calculator and typewriter supplies in the ERL program."

EASY CARTRIDGE CROSS-REFERENCING
17 years ago Evan Ruchelman was working as a programmer and later began selling remanufactured laser cartridges. He felt there should be an easy way to cross-reference cartridges, and since he couldn’t find a system he liked, he created his own -and called it Cart-Scan . This system - described as "intelligent cross-reference software" - has been in existence for only a little more than a year and users are praising this time-saving supplies-reference guide.
Tina Shaw, owner of A&A Cartridge told us:
"What used to take me four or more steps to give a customer an answer to a question is now done in one step. It gives me every piece of information a customer could possibly want at the blink of an eye. Also, with the ability to add our own part numbers and unlimited notes, it couldn’t be better."
Cart-Scan features include:
Ability to print cross-reference and price lists.
Compatible with WIN 3.1, WIN 95, WIN 98 and WIN NT.
Variation warning light indicates the potential for variations in the imaging part.

What About the Aspen Guide?
If you have been in this industry since the mid-eighties, you know the Aspen Guide was the "bible" for anyone selling office equipment supplies. You could find and cross-reference copier, fax, printer and typewriter supplies in the Aspen Guide.
Lena Albright is the person who maintained the information used in the Aspen Guide from the mid-eighties until January of 1991 when she left Aspen to work for Nu-Kote. In December 1991 Nu-Kote published the first Nu-Kote Encyclopedia, with information maintained by Lena. So, it’s fair to say Lena wrote the bible for cross-referencing office equipment supplies. In August last year Lena formed her own company: TRI Resources International. (TRI stands for: toner, ribbon and inkjet.)
TRIguide features include:
CD includes supplies for most laser printers, copiers, fax machines, inkjet printers and fax machines, impact printers, typewriters, POS, calculators and financial equipment
Printed copy of model-to-supply index (more than 200 pages)
More than 700 photographs of supplies
Search by all categories - manufacturers, models or part numbers.
PRICING:
Single user price: $125.00 (US)
