Your Greatest Free Resource
Category: Search Engines | Date: 2001-08-03 |
Sometimes the answer is just too obvious. Its all too often as easy as finding the end of your nose. Its right at the end of your finger tips. Many internet users probably overlook their greatest free resource when searching for answers.
Recently I was engaged in an lively chat session on one of those instant messenger things when a question came up. I quickly opened another window, pulled up a major search engine and typed in some keywords.
Within seconds I had several resources and links to provide answers to the question posed. My friend asked how I had found that link so quickly. "I just used a search engine." I told him.
What do you need today? Are you looking for new promotion resources, affiliate informaton, marketing tips? Whatever it is, you are sure to find it on one of the major search engines or directories.
These can be especially helpful if you are new to the internet. There are lots of likes designed to help you "get your feet wet" on the web.
Need some help getting started? Do a search for "html help" on http://www.yahoo.com and you will find 91 links available.
Need some more search engines to use? Type this in your search window: "search engines" and you will get lots of returns.
It is also, however, an indespensible daily aid for those of you who have been around for a while but still have more questions than answers. (which I do, daily.)
As a footnote, I believe the next most valuable free resource is the help you find from others online. Just ask for help from another webmaster or publisher. Most of them are flattered to give your some help and links to resources.
There is no trick to finding what you need. There are no dumb questions. There are thousands of resources available to you and they are all as close as the tips of your fingers at your favorite search engine.
Best of luck in your online efforts !
