Revolutionary Advertising Tactics For The New Millenium

Once you have set up your site, got your fabulous product and your 'killer' sales letter, you need to get tons of traffic to your site for any appreciable sales to occur.Eighteen revolutionary advertising tactics are outlined:

1. Advertise for affiliates - set up an excellent affiliate program giving at least 50% profits or more. Remember it is better to have 10 sales at 50% your share than not have any sales at all. Keep the program as attractive as possible, You should try and get as many affiliates as you can. This will work for you in the following three ways:1. Your affiliates will promote your product; 2. some of them will even buy your product; 3. You can harvest their e-mail addresses and have a good mailing list.

2. Write to all ezine owners for participation in affiliate program. Find out which ezine owners promote other affiliate programs by visiting their sites. Subscribe to their ezines to develop a communication link. Develop a killer invitation letter and invite them to enter into partnership with you. Please do not spam.

3. Find out about sites with mutual/ complimentary interests as yours, by conducting keyword searches at various major search engines. Select the high traffic sites and invite owners to participate in partnership/affiliate program.

4. Write informative ezine articles. Include your resource box at the end complete with your name, site address and a very brief description of interest. Announce to all the ezines using various automated services available. Also submit individually to some of the top ezines.

5. Write and Distribute free e-books/ articles with re-branding option. This is a very powerful viral marketing tool.

6. The prevalent school of thought among the guru's is to target your customer base. However, do not limit yourself. Aim towards both targeted and non targeted customers.

7. For targeted traffic, use keyword bidding. Excellent affordable 'click through' rates are available at some of the search engines. Low cost ads in targeted ezines will also work.

8. Harvest e-mail addresses of all your customers and affiliates. You can do this by offering various free services to them. Such as newsletter, free advertisements, etc.

9. Set up a newsletter. Offer free advertising/contests etc. Include excellent informative articles. Make it interactive by using feedback/ letters from the readers. Also offer paid advertising such as solo ads; top ads; classifieds etc. This can become an excellent source of residual income for you. You can even increase your subscription base by joining various ad-swaps, getting listed in ezine directories etc.

10. Get registered with award sites. If you are able to get a good award and place it on your site, this will increase your credibility as well as traffic.

11. Join web rings. This is very important for establishing contacts and increasing targeted traffic.

12. Use opt-in e-mail lists and discussion groups.

13. Use free submission services for submission to search engines, free for all pages and classified ad sites.

14. Join some banner net works. This method though no longer effective, is still good for branding purposes.

15. Give out press releases - This is really easy. The media is hungry for unusual stories. Dot com success stories and outstanding news go like hot cakes.

16. Publish articles offline - Articles about internet business and marketing get into print easily. Also you have a more receptive audience since more and more people are interested in the dot com gold rush each day.

17. Get into some TV talk show - Again quite easy if you have some interesting stories to tell.

18. Participate and speak at various seminars and symposiums - You can speak your way to success. Considering the burgeoning number of societies out there, getting your self a speaking assignment won't be difficult.

If you are able to implement just 50% of the above tactics, you will have got yourself into a fairly profitable standing. If you are able to implement 100% of the above, your millions are simply assured.

Please note you do not need to invest a hefty amount on advertising. All the above can be done almost free or with very low investment. What you need to invest is your time, your effort, your total commitment.
