The Secret to Building a Website That Works
Category: Website Design and Development | Date: 2003-10-30 |
Your website isnt just the proud product of hours of labor and thought, if you’re like me, it’s your lifeblood. It’s how you get clients, sell products, and promote webinars and teleclasses.
In my case, Ive been told repeatedly that I need to view my website from many different browsers and of course Ive meant to, but it’s not like Im running around all day with access to a lot of people’s computers. Im a personal coach and I work by phone and email from home.
Well, here’s the answer. Paste this in your browser and bookmark it: http://www.anybroswer.com/siteviewer.html. By entering your site here, you can take a look at how your website looks in other browsers. It’s a source for what’s called browser compatibility verification.
What can I say? It can be a rude awakening. Particularly where color and text style are concerned, as well as how much shows on initial viewing. Ive seen sites for instance where you would assume there was nothing down there and you would never scroll down. They looked finished as they are.
In addition, this site will show you what your website looks like to search engines:
http://www.anybrowser.com/EngineView.html
And check out your html here:
http://www.anybrowser.com/validateit.html
Last but not least, let them generate a metatag thatll work for you: http://www.anybrowser.com/MetaTagGenerator.html
