WordPress Tip on Permalink Options
Date: 03/11/05
Keywords: no keywords
This tip covers configuration in Options/Permalinks [Edit Permalink Structure] for WordPress users. My version is WordPress 1.5.
By default WordPress uses a query string to identify a post. This is neither search engine friendly nor human friendly. A better way is to use a custom URI to better identify your posts. Many bloggers include a date [...]

JavaOne proposal NOT rejected!
Date: 03/08/05
Keywords: java
I am tired of seeing people whine about their JavaOne proposals being rejected including Mary (from Sun) and others.
Please spare us details of your rejected proposals.
With tens of thousands of proposals from all over the world, you probably have a better chance at Lotto, just kidding.
BTW: As for my proposal not being rejected, well I [...]

Some thoughts on Richard Grimes article on .NET
Date: 03/08/05
Keywords: programming, asp, web
I personally find the article by Richard Grimes on the state of .NET technologies very informative. It is comical to note some of the rants against him in the post and in the comments at http://weblogs.asp.net/danielfe/archive/2005/02/22/378343.aspx
Some of it are plain hilarious like:
"And really, let's face it, every programming language has a problem. Yes, .Net [...]

Open letter to Ms. Rice

My Code of Ethics as blogger

Keywords: web
Here are my code of ethics as a blogger:
Be truthful
Research well before writing informative posts
I do very infrequently edit a comment(two so far) to remove gratuitous offensive terms. I personally don't use them nor would I like them on my weblog.
I do check about the visitors to the site to statistically identify the reach of [...]

Too bad their sample request url's do not work!
Their width of services is more than google - image, news and video search capability in addition to standard web search.
They seem to think that location based search is a separate category.
