Weird Firefox javascript issues

Sometime last week out of nowhere (isn't that always how it is?), I noticed that there was some funky stuff going on whenever I try to open a hotlink that's encoded in javascript. Whenever I click the link, a popup error will show up saying: TypeError: url has no properties, and then I click ok and the new window will pop-up as it's supposed to. When I click to close the window, it gives me a wonderfully different error: Refrence Error: FirefoxInstance_closing is not defined.. Now, when I try to execute bookmarks from my bookmarks toolbar folder that involve javascript (like, Tiny URL, etc), they will open fine without an error message. Everything does work as it's supposed to... but just with that annoying error message each time. I'm a bit perplexed..
