Intel Celeron 1.70 GHz

1.70 GHz, 512 MB of RAM


The above is what I have for my computer now.... I am thinking of getting what my computer guy calls a "core 2". Now, keep in mind that I know NOTHING about the insides of a computer. Is a "core 2" better (faster) than what I have now?
