Tracing system bootup

I wrote a while back about my gf's laptop woes. I installed an extra 256 RAM in the machine and NOTHING happened. I also noticed that the computer takes a LOOOONG time to boot up. I mean it takes over two minutes to boot up. I want to be able to diagnose where the bottleneck is. I have Bootvis and traced a boot-up, but I have no idea what the results mean. All I could tell is that there's a long stretch of 100% CPU usage with no progress. Are there any diagnosis tools or monitors I could use that could like break down every startup driver/system thing, similar to the safe mode startup? I want all the system stuff to load up, because a fast safe-boot doesn't help me much. I think diagnosing this would also help me tackle the sluggish performance the computer is having. I don't think my GF is going to be up for a format/clean install to fix her performance. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

BTW I've already done the regular optimization stuff (AV Scan, Defrag, Ad-Scan, etc)
