Hello all!

I'm currently reformatting my User Info section. I decided to use the "span" fucntion instead of the "font" function, with the aid of howto. The problem is, it's not really working. I want to do simple things, such as using color and increasing the font size. I'm not sure why it's not working. Here's a sample of the code that I'm using (minus the "*" inside the <>):

According to my code, "...~*about me*~..." should be size 22 font and in italics. It only shows up in italics.

I also have some questions about alignment.

1) I want to center some user info, but I don't want to use the "<* center>" function because it's not compatible with all browsers. Does the <* p align = "justify"> function work for all browsers?
2) How do you make a paragraph have a straight border on either side? I thought that was the <* p align="justify"> function, but it's not.


I'd really appreciate it if anyone has any answers or ideas.

EDIT: It showed up on this entry when I didn't put the "*" in the code, so why isn't it showing up on my user info page? I'm using Safari as my browser.

I have 2 questions. #1: I want to know how you put more than one pic behind an lj-cut. I know how to create an lj-cut and I know how to add images. What I don't know is how to do is to put more than one pic so when I or someone else clicks on my lj-cut there will be more than one pic behind the lj-cut. And #2: How do I get to the option where it will say on my journal join community and leave community? Can someone please help me out? I've been trying to get some help but no one will help me!

Hi. I'm wondering if anyone can help me. I'm making a layout for my journal and I need the background to be aligned to the right. But in doing say, I need it to always be aligned to the right, so that when users who use different resolutions and have the page opened at different sizes, the page background will remain in place and will stay in pattern with the layout. If you don't understand, I'll try and cap examples and post them so you guys can see my problem.

Maybe one of you can help me.
I have This Image Map that I've created.

It's supposed to show up like This
I'm not sure why the text never shows up. (I'm using imageready)
This is kind of what I'm trying to acomplish


That shows a semi-transparent table above the image, NOT underneath it like I've got now.
I don't know how to make the imagemap image a background image also so that I can somehow create a transparent table on top of it.
I'm very good at html but when it comes to getting image to do what I'm wanting them to, I have a hell of a time.
If that doesn't make sense, let me know, I'll try to explain it again.

i have been a paid member for about two years and i still dont understand this style stuff. i was wondering if anyone could help me. i found a style that was still on my styles. i was playing with it trying to fix it and i totally ruined it. now i keep getting error upon error. i have this picture that seems to be of sara jessica parker. it was for the old style. i cant seem to get it off my layout. parts of it are black and parts of it are white. which that isnt at all what i am looking for.

this is kind of this gist of what i am looking for a space where you dont have to scroll down to have anything fit on your screen... one sidebar where i fill stuff out and also my info is in. and an entry box where of course my entries are. the entries are transparent and the main background is this picture and on the side is this picture... can anyone look at the style browser coding and tell me what i am doing wrong?

Alright, i used to be able to whip up layouts easily but after nearly two years without internet i lost all my html knowledge. Right now id love to be able to translate or PASS some of the layouts i have at greatestjournal here. One of them would be this one: gothic beauty but im having SERIOUS trouble reconfiguring it to adapt to LJ... any help!?

Hi! I opened a new account called bitter_butter , but when I copied all my overrieds from this one (stefanatic_ ) to the new one, it didn't do it right, it doesnt look the same (here I got: "Every Me" ect and on the new one I got "userinfo" etc). Why? What did I do wrong?
