Using Javascript Forms;
Is it possible to have a Name Input Field example "First name:" and make the user input their full first name, then when it is submitted for only the first Initial of the first name to be processed?

Eg:
I input into "First Name:" field: Anna
and the submission of that form only returns "A" from the name Anna and extracts only that first initial.

If it's possible, Can someone please post some sample code?
