windows media player 10 and my cd-rw drive

Date: 04/15/08 (Microsoft Windows)    Keywords: no keywords

Ok, so for some reason, my dvd-rw drive is no longer being recognized by media player version 10.

I can rip music off the cd's, but I cant burn to cd's. If I go to Add Hardware, it shows that its there and that its operating just fine. If I go to setup, within media player, and check the devices, it shows it listed as NEC_DVDRW. It keeps telling me to Add Hardware if I want to hook up a drive that is cd-rw compatible. I dont get it, as I was burning cd's on this back in february.

Can anyone help me with this? Thanks!
