php printing with styles

    Date: 07/04/06 (Web Development)    Keywords: php, html, linux

    A mate trying to print a document bypassing the screen
    using the following code.

    which prints the text but doesn't handle formats, for example html formatting actually prints out bold
    instead of making it bold and returns a resourse id
    error when printing a pdf. Anyone have any idea how
    to print a file retaining formatting in this fashion
    we are running on red hat linux servers with php 4.3
    i think.

    cheers
    David
