Help with JavaScript Calendar on FrontPage, please!

I am an ultranovice web developer...this is one of my first attempts at web page creation. I'm trying to get a calendar to show up on a frontpage themed page and must be overlooking something. Or could frontpage be preventing it from showing? The sample listed in the downloaded folder shows nicely but my version doesn't so I believe that the javascript is ok.

This is a learning experience for me so any suggestions/advice would be appreciated :)
