Search engine robots

    I'm wondering if anyone can explain this:

    Several times a day, I get hits from the Ask Jeeves computers in Emeryville, California, or Dublin, Ireland. If it's a multiple-hit visit, it often lasts for five to thirty minutes (and those are often hitting just 2 pages!), and hits pages that are not linked to each other or even in the same files. What exactly is visiting, and what is it doing?
