Since I'm usually more on the design end of things, I'm having a lot of trouble trying to figure out which type of SSL certificate I need and how to set it up. If this isn't usually covered here, please feel free to suggest somewhere else that I can ask or get some info on my situation!

Here's my setup: I've got a virtual private server, and I'm hosting multiple sites for multiple clients. I was told that "one certificate will cover an entire IP" which, originally I thought meant any sites on that IP, but now I'm realizing that doesn't mean exactly what I thought it did. If at all possible, I would like to avoid having to buy a seperate cert+ip for each client (mostly because the whole verification process is tedious and time consuming since these people don't know what they're doing).

So I'm thinking that now I might be able to just create a cert for my company and use that one for each of their sites. Is that possible? I've seen mentions of a Shared SSL Certificate but I can't really find any info on exactly what that is or how to use it, I'm just seeing "here's how to use ours!"
