three-column CSS

    I'm looking for some thoughts/opinions.

I've got a site www.canalstreetcar.com. For a while now, I've used Netobjects Fusion to publish the site, because it's easy. I publish a weekly e-mail newsletter for that site as well, which points the readers back to the "feature photo" page and the site itself.

I'm going to shift the site to Movable Type, so I can expand the newsletter's readership by RSS/atom syndication. I'm going to set up a stylesheet with three columns. The left will be navigation and such, like it is on the current design, and the right will be ads like the newsletter has.

Has anyone done anything similar, and what have you used for widths of the columns? I'm thinking 120/580/200 left/center/right.

    thoughts?
