RSS/RDS New Aggregator?

Date: 03/06/06 (Web Development)    Keywords: rss

Hello, I guess I'll preface my question by stating that I'm not too sure if I even know what I'm talking about here, but heck, it's worth a shot.

I currently write and keep a blog on the Boston Red Sox (SawxBlog.com) and had an idea. I'd like to create a site that's similar to below:

    http://redsox.feedster.com/

Basically what I'd like to do is subscribe to every and all Red Sox blogs and feeds and have them come up linkable, with a few sentences showing, much like the feedster example above. I'm looking to add a lot more blogs, as well as make the overall appearance more eye pleasing along with some original content. So that's what I want to do. Another site that does this is http://baseballblogs.org/.

From my limited knowledge I know that I'd need to somehow create a new Aggregator, and from that I'd get the URL's of the RSS/RDS feed. I am kind of in the dark on how to get this done, and was wondering if any of you have any experience with this, or if you know of sites/tutorials that I could walk myself through.

Sorry if this is vague, and thanks so much for any help that can be given.

    Cheers.
