divs for backgrounds

Is there any easy way to create a div which would act as a container that says everything in the container takes up 100% of the width and height that is in view? I have found links like this but it's not been very helpful as I try to make a div that sets all of its content to take up 100% of the screen space. This link was useful for me to successfully make the appropriate divs for upper and lower curves (see my original dilemma here).

Any suggested links or tips on how to say "hey, make all of this content take up 100% of the width and height the user can see on screen" so that my lower right-side curves appear fixed to the lower-right side of the screen, not just the small div area? Thanks a bunch!
