I am wondering if I understand this correctly, do resellers purchase domain names and then resell them, or are they brokers for others to sell domain names?

One of mine got grabbed by a reseller, and their info page sounds like they act as an agent for others. Because of a nut case, I am wondering if they bought my name and did this for aggravation? It is my personal name, so has no value to anyone but me.
