my client's host offers wordpress and typo. I'm trying to make gigs (left side) and news (bottom) sections client-updatable.

is wordpress or typo better for this? or something else?

i installed wordpress last night and was trying to figure it out. does it need a "plug-in" to have two updatable sections on one page?
