Question?

I've been trying to get screencaps, and I'm getting so frustrated!

I have Windows XP. I've been using Windows Media Player, Real Player, and InterVideo WinDVD. I pause the screen, hit Print Screen, and paste it into Paint Shop.

What happens is, it won't let me crop. It pastes the whole desktop, and when I crop it, the image just keeps panning. I can't crop just one section.

I hope this makes sense, but I doubt it does! Anyway, does anyone have tips, or know of a (free) program I can use?

By the way: I have already decreased acceleration speed, turned off the "Use Overlays" option...nothing works.

And, in case none of that makes any sense: I just want to get a screencap, and I need to know how. :)
