Kay. I'm purchasing an external hard drive.

Unsurprisingly, the brands I've never heard of are cheaper. Can anyone here advise for or against "Fantom," "Beyond Micro," "US Modular," or "Cavalry"?

In addition, are there any major differences among the well-known brands in terms of reliability?
