Simple Firefox question

I think it is, but can't find any info on it.

Is it possible to automatically have Firefox open installers after downloading them? You know, like Internet Explorer. When you download an installer with IE, you can either save the file or just run it. In FireFox, as far as I know your only choice is to save the installer, THEN open it. And you have to delete it after.

So, is there a setting you can change to give you basically a "just run this" option for installer files?
