formating a slave

Date: 05/10/05 (Computer Help)    Keywords: no keywords

Ive formated many hard drives in the past but for some reason it is not letting me format my slave drive which im using currently. When i try formating it, it says somethign along the lines of "the drive is in use by other programs please close all programs using the drive and make sure no folder is opened displaying the contents of the drive"

anyone know any way to close everything related to the drive or anything to solve the problem? as far as i know, there are no programs using it.
    thanks,
    jack
