Date: 07/05/05 (Computer Help) Keywords: no keywords I have a rather old Gateway laptop, with Windows XP. I haven't been able to connect to AOL for a few months, I've tried everything I can think of, and finally went to AOL Tech support. That was an experience in and of itself, but we finally found the problem. I have dial-up, and when I go to the "Remote Access Auto Connection Manager", from the Service in Administrative Tools, the status says "Stopped". Apparently that's why I can't connect. The modem works fine, I just can't talk to their network.
