server board/mother board

My husband bought a server board accidently thinking it was a Pentium 4 mother board. The server board is a Gigabyte Pentium 4 with a 478 socket proccesor, but can we use it as a mother board? Can we put it in our computer and use it just like a mother board with Windows xp and everything?

Can someone tell tell us what a server board is and what it's used for and how it's different from a mother board?
