just wondering if anyone uses dexpot?

ive been trying to get it to work and it seems like a great idea when its working, but it tends to freeze up my system quite a bit, and i cant end the task when it does.. i have to restart. most of the reviews i can find are in german (i think?) or are positve.. looks like the actual site for the program is down.

im on a HP pavillion dv1000 laptop (1 gig ram, 80gb hd, 128mb gfx) with windows XP home, service pack 2. its probably <1 month old.

anyone have any insight on configuring this program? or maybe some alternatives?
