it does not have str_split, which I would love to be able to use.
why?
I have a form, people will be searching for part numbers to go to a webpage. I just need the first 5 characters of the submit field since all of the same type of thing is on the same page (ie b-gcp100 and b-gcp913 go to the same page).
hints or hacks?
