i've heard strong arguments for and against Cake (and for and against MVC frameworks), but i've definitely had a good experience with it so far, and it's really helping to bring my coding up out of the amateur level and i'm more confident in the security and stability of the apps I'm building with it

I recently purchased Norton Internet Security 2006, and I have been trying to install it with no luck (a "fatal error" comes up). I contacted their support team several times and tried everything they told me, but to no avail. Eventually, one of them told me to make sure that my computer's Event Log was enabled.

I found the event log, and checked everything out, clicked Start, and I got this:



What do I do?

I'm beginning to lose hope with this installation. Everything I've tried has ended in failure.

I am doing some research for a project for work, we want to set up some longtime housing with a security login that grants people access to the internet (et all) [a wireless gatekeeper if you will]. It would be for an extended amount of time (~1 year) and we want to use the MAC for tracking. I have seen what PublicIP (http://www.publicip.net/) brings to the table, but its going to be for a number of people and we want to make it specific to them (that and we have some sort of confirmation of the user creation).

So I was woudering what if at all you all in this group have seen or have used.
