Food Menu Design

Hi folks. I wonder if you could help me with ideas on how to make a food menu on a restaurant website a bit more interactive or flashy/dynamic. We live on a small island in the Atlantic, so putting "order online" or such stuff wouldn´t really be feasible cause not a lot of people would use that here (like they would, say, in New York, or something).

I am really not sure what exactly to do with the menus - I have looked at other restaurant sites and food menus are pretty much just there for information rather than interaction, so I haven´t been able to find ideas that way.

The website is emmascantina.com - it is a static site that gets updated every few months. The menus are quite boring (but the client was on a budget, so he gets what he pays for) at the moment, just scanned in PDFs of the printed menus. Another thing I told him was that if the rest of the site is static, it would be a bit silly to make the menus interactive, and that really he would want a total site re-design!

Would anyone here have any ideas? Thanks! :)
