I'm working on a website to showcase the findings for one of my final grad school projects. I'm open to any and all criticisms so I can try to make this look better / more appealing. Is the font choice for the navigation/title too much of an eyesore? Would you want to sit and look at this thing for a while?

Don't mind the pages 1-20 thing on the bottom of the screen. That's going to disappear.

Please look. You don't have to go easy on me.. I'd really appreciate the feedback! Since I'm not a designer my feelings won't be hurt. :)

This was my initial design. Do the colors work better? I'm mainly concerned with the colors in this one as I know the nav looks horrible in this one. :)
