A bit of an easy question...

Well... I'm buying a laptop off of my mother... She has AOL installed and I know one of the only ways to get it off the computer is to format and start anew... I personally like the option anyhow... The original owner registered under the name 'CubanAssassin.' Rather annoying in it's own right. My question being... Would a copy of Windows (XP Pro) be able to be installed onto the original machine without the original user's name, and info? I'm afraid I haven't done anything as such before... And I would rather just wipe the slate clean so there's only my things on there... Ya know? Or if somoene knows how to 1)Remove AOL completely... 2)Change the name of the registered user... Etc? I know the guy has some 'extra' crap in there... So... Yea...
