My CD Drive won't eject or read the CD in the drive

I've recently installed DSL on my computer. This may or may not have anything to do with my problem but I never had a problem prior to this time. Right now I have a blank CD in my CD drive that I intended to copy music to. I have Windows Media Player open, however the CD is not being recognized nor will my eject button work. So I can't copy to the CD nor can I get the CD out. I cannot for the life of me figure out what is going on. Any suggestions?
