Lots of questions...

Keywords: php, yahoo
Okay... here goes:
1.)PHP. Can someone please help me? I'm confused about it. See, I want to create a forum and a thing where you can post comments on articles of sorts, and maybe chatrooms, I'm not sure yet about that.
2.)Videos. Is there any way I can take out the actual video part and just have the audio? Like converting it to .MP3?
Thanks,
Brad
P.S. If you want to help me, my AIM screen name is imakebrainstew, my MSN screen name is imakepoprocksandcoke@hotmail.com, and my e-mail is bassilik@yahoo.com

Flash
Date: 03/05/05
Keywords: programming
I was thinking of heading over to the local computer show this weekend and picking myself up a copy of Flash 4 or (if they have it) 5. I tried Flash MX but never even got to use it because it kept freezing my computer so I had to uninstall it.
I got this computer on my 15th birthday, and I upgraded it to a (very crappy) ATI RADEON 9200 PCI graphics card. And I'm planning to upgrade the RAM, but not any time soon.
I'm not taking up animation as a job or anything. Animation will be a hobby. I'm thinking of going into something like computer programming or something underground like a government watchdog group.
Besides, I doubt many companies use Flash as an animation tool like they use C++ for game programming. So yeah, it's best to start with the basics before stepping up to the big leagues, or else you'll be repeatedly smashing your head against a brick wall.

How Firefox Works link - click here.
Below is an excerpt from the page:
"Chances are, you're reading this article on Internet Explorer. It's the browser that comes already installed on Windows operating systems; most people use Windows, and most Windows users don't give a second thought to which browser they're using. In fact, many people aren't aware that they have an option at all."
-
I seriously wish that Windows (Microsoft) would be more fair and offer users the option to choose the browser they want. I mean, they already sold the customer an Operating System, what possible harm would it be to let users know that they have a choice? Oh, wait. Those security vulnerabilities were put there on purpose so big businesses can exploit them to sell their wares to unwitting users.
sigh.

minor help

could anyone help me out...
i just bought a new Dell XpsGen4 and it comes with Windows
Media Player 10 and i hate 10
ok the two things i need help with...
Can somebody tell me how to roll back WMP 10 to version 9?
i have both install programs on my computer but i know i did it with
my old computer... but either i forgot how or i dont know what...
i tried just installing 9 over 10 and it said it detected the new one...
and it just exits out of the attempt after that...
Secondly...
the main reason why i would like to roll back my Media Player is because
transferring all my music o my new computer, it asks me to go online and
get the licences for all of the music i have...
in which...
a. not all of it is actually licensed music so i dont know how'd they pull THAT off...
and b. i just wanna play my fuckin music...
and i have about 6 or 7 Gb worth of music that im NOT re-uploading all of them...
if anyone knows a way to remedy this... you will be my personal god...
Thanks in Advance!!!

WON'T WAKE UP FROM SLEEP!!! G4 is being lazy!!!
Date: 02/28/05
Keywords: no keywords
Hello.
When my computer goes to sleep I can't get it to wake up by pressing the keys or using the mouse. When the monitor turns off I can still hear the computer fans. And I can't get the computer to turn back on. It won't wake up from the sleep. Why does it do this? What can I possibly do to try to remedy the situation. It's a pain that I have to keep holding the power button to shut of the system and turn it back on that way. It makes me nerveous because it can't possibly be good for the computer. I love this thing. I don't wan to risk messing it up.
It's a dual-mirror drive G4 1.25GHz Dual processor machine. It's running OS 10.3.2.
Any help as to how to get my computer to wake up from sleep would be very much appreciated.
Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.
Till next time...

Dreamweaver MX 'Flashing' Problem?
Date: 02/27/05
Keywords: virus, web
I'm using Dreamweaver on Windows XP SP2. I haven't used it on the machine for a while and I'm sure it worked fine before! When it's starting up and loading the windows the top third of the screen will flash. Basically a grey block without content appears over the window (in code or design mode) covering any code, the row of buttons and the blue program bar above flashes too. It repeats it if I alt-tab to another program and back. Most annoyingly, it will have that block flash whenever I click the mouse button anywhere near there.
I've gone through the preferences but can't see anything obvious, searched the web, tried disabling the anitvirus/firewall stuff (AVG/Sygate Personal) but it hasn't helped. Anyone know how to fix it?
