I have no clue what I'm doing, so I was wondering if someone could help me out. I need to modify the layout found here so that it has this picture and background color. There's a code at the first link that I assume is supposed to be pasted into the custom CSS section (which I have never used) after it's edited for use with my journal.

I would like someone to edit the code so that it will have my new image and work in my journal, then tell me how to install it. I tried to edit the code myself, but I had way too many questions on things that I'm sure are basic for a lot of you.

Hi,
I'm trying to change the look of my profile in a forum.
I'd like to change the background color. I've seen someone do it once.
They told me they used css/style (html) codes, but I have no idea where they could have put it to change their profile.

So I was thinking of using UBB codes, since UBB is used for forums,
but I can't find one for background color...


I hope I am making sense?
Any response would be nice.

Hi there, joined this community hoping that somebody (who is very nice and quite possibly very smart) could help me with my html problem....


i'm making a entrance pages and main page as image maps, no problems there.

but i've always put them in normal html and resized the image to look best in IE or other browsers....which normally doesn't even look that good.

i've seen other sites that use javascript in order to opena window that is independant of a browser....and a specific size that doesn't have to fit within the browser window....

how do i do this? i've looked up a few different help sites, but got rather confused with what goes where and how to actually format the Javascript code...so if somebody could break it down or lead me to a fairly understandable site then i would be very much grateful....

or you could add me on msn and talk to me that way and i'll express my undying gratitude :D??

I'm using S2 flexible squares and I'm trying to put a header at the top. I went under "Custome Options" --> "Custom CSS" --> "Custom Stylesheet" and pasted the following:

I recently joined this community to see if I could get some help or advice with my new website. It's been a few years since I've built a website, and there is one issue that keeps nagging at me.

I was wondering if there was a way to keep a level top to a table, or a way to attach a scrollbar without the use of iframes. In the past, I used iframes for everything, but I know now all of the problems and annoyances they can make for browsers. My problem is that my middle bottom td needs to expand down to accomodate more information and images on certain pages, but I would like the top of the table level with the sidebars. When the information expands, it pushes upwards and makes the table uneven.

I checked my site at Weblint Gateway and I can't seem to get rid of the errors without making my page look bad.
The problem is, I like the way my page looks now, but it won't load quickly until I fix the bugs.
I don't know how to change the code so that I can keep the current look while omitting the errors.
Can someone help me?

Hey all--

Recently, when trying to embed videos from YouTube, I have encountered problems. I use the embed code that YouTube gives on their website beside each video. I can embed the first video with no problems. But, after that, problems occur. LiveJournal embeds the same video equivalent to the number of the video in the post (e.g. the third embedded video in the post will be embedded three times). Here's an example of what I'm talking about:










Can anyone tell me how to fix this issue?
