Date: 04/28/06 (PHP Community) Keywords: database I'm looking for a way to encrypt the fields of a configuration file. Most importantly, I'd like to be able to encrypt the username and password stored in the file used to connect to the database. The structure of the file and the field name can be left unencrypted, so I only need a way to encrypt and decrypt a string. The encryption has to remain unbreakable even if someone has read the source code of the program that generated it. Is there a way to do this?
