Windows Media problem

Date: 02/25/07 (Computer Help)    Keywords: no keywords

Earlier tonight, I downloaded Total Video Converter. It worked fine for the converting, but for some reason it made its player the default player for everything, which I didn't like, and so I deleted it. All well and good, except now any file types that had originally played in Windows Media Player via default don't play anymore. I get this message:
"Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file.”
arg. Any suggestions on what I can do? ... any help would be appreciated. thanks. :)
