  11. login/shopping cart across domains?

Date: 06/01/05 (PHP Community)    Keywords: security, shopping

First of all, thanks for the help on my previous question about a shipping script. I later discovered that the yourpay gateway we chose to do our credit card processing offers a shipping calculator built-in.

Anyway, I now have a problem that seems to be fairly common without a solution. I have looked on a few forums online and have not really seen a nice solution to this (maybe 'cause there isn't a nice solution). We have five domains and we want our shopping cart to be across all domains as well as the login. Where could I even go to start learning about this issue? I heard that multi-domain cookies work, but are a security hazard. We also have an SSL certificate only on one domain...

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!

Update: I now realize that the login and the shopping cart are two separate issues, but I still do not know how to tackle them...
